Here are 3 messages I had posted in last weeks section:
The Title of my book is The Bible Jesus Read by Philip Yancey. This weeks chapter is The Prophets: God talks back. I remeber when I was read the Bible thru the 1st time, Jeremiah was a suprise for me. I guess I hadnt heard much about him but it has some great verses in it.

The author speaks again about how he never read the prophets much until he had to. Then he came to love them. I like them, they are an example to me of how powerful Gods Word is. They confirm prophesy of Jesus coming, and expose us in how we are as people.

My message tonight is coming from Hosea. It has always been a favorite of mine. I like how God has the prophets do outlandish things to get peoples attention. Even though we seem to still ignore it. How would we react if our pastors done something similar to what these guys did? Would we be able to discern if they crazy or truly listening to God?

The author brings up a point about the Prophets books showing Gods character. I agree that when you read read them, you get a sense of what God is like. Its funny that I spoke out of Hosea last night and that was really the point I was trying to get across. That God is real in way that we can relate to Him.

On a note on giving a message, last night I know what I wanted to try and accomplish in speaking. But there was a point when I was getting frustrasted because i was trying to stick to what I had studied, but when I did that, I felt like I was losing the flow of the message. I felt like I had too much information going on in my head.

Tonights the last night of our scheduled revival. It has been good, and I notice a difference in myself when I go to church every night for a while. I've felt this way everytime we have one. I guess its the reason of having one. I needed it myself. Can anyone relate to this or explain it differently. Tyler finishes us up tonight, I pray the Lord use him tonight, and that something special happen.

We finished up last night and Tyler spoke a great message. I havent told him yet but a friend that came with Everett Bastien, who is friends with my older son, on the way home last night after the service told Everett he wanted to give his life to God, so they stopped by Jasons house and he was saved, Praise God!!

Good morning, it looks like another great weekend weather wise. Hope you're able to get out and enjoy Gods creation.

Te author made a point of how the prophets thru proclaiming Gods word, was putting God into his own picture. Like a painter putting himself in his painting. I liked that analogy. Also he brought those pictures that used to be popular, that you had to almost vross your eyes to see the hidden 3D immage. I really think the whole Bible is that way. It can be telling us a number of things and they all still be true.

Sean, I liked the example that you said about those 3D pictures. I remember those well. Sometimes, I had a hard time seeing the image. I think that it is kind of like that with God. We sometimes try to see what we want to see, not what the Bible tells us.

If there is one book in the Old Testament that I can't get enough of, it is Daniel. I have always wondered why God showed His plan for the end to a Babylonian king. I guess that God wanted us to know that the gentiles were just as important to Him.
