The title of my course is Old Testament Survey: Poetry and Prophecy. The instructor is Dr. Garnett Reid. I will be watching two DVDs this week.

The DVD that I watched was about the book of Daniel. He started by talking about the different views of the "end times". I want to wait until we have that Q&A session at our preachers meeting to talk about that. The themes of Daniel are- The Lord is soveriegn king, The Lord cares for his subjects, and the Lord's kingdom will triumph over the kingdoms of men.

When I think of Daniel I always think of faith in the toughest situations. Daniel shown his with praying & the Lions den. And Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendigo in the furnace. (forgive my spelling) Those stories never get old.

Shadrach, Meshech, and Abendego are part of my favorite story in the Old Testament. Most of us would probably have tried to hide our faith in God if it meant a life or death situation. I love the part when they came out and didn't even smell like smoke!

The DVD that I watched was more about Daniel. He was God's statesmen in Babylon. His name means "God is Judge". I also find it interesting that God gave Neuchadnezzar a vision of the plans of the end times.

I was blessed this past week in our revival. God really showed up in a mighty way. I remember when I was a little boy and we had a revival at Centre Baptist Church in Crab Orchard. We went to Walnut Hill at the time. I heard Jerry Schell preach that night and something happened to me. I was saved that night!!!!!

I have been talking a lot about revival this week. I can't help it, I feel like I have been revived! Do you guys remember a revival that just sticks out to you? Maybe for some different reasons? I would like to hear your thoughts.
