In Bro. Shank's book and in his theme or you might say his argument, he uses a lot of scripture as well as alot of God's promises such as "if you abide in me then I will abide in you" paraphrased John 15. He also has promised another "comforter" John 14. By his own blood he has obtained eternal redemption for us, Hebrews 9. The sunshine this morning to me is another of his many and loving promises. Praise God!!!!!

Amen! Bro. Roger,

I like:

Proverbs 3:5-6 (King James Version)

5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Of course, I pulled mine from anywhere, but look at the great stuff you got from your reading!

There are so many promises in the Bible that it is hard to choose one. I like John 16:33-

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

What a verse!! It has three promises in it, but it finishes with the best promise.

Jos 1:5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.
