The title of my book is THE BIBLE THAT JESUS READ. The author is Philip Yancey. There are seven chapters in this book. I will be reading one chapter a week. The name of chapter four is Psalms: Spirituality in Every Key.

Chapter four starts off talking about the author's toubles reading the Psalms. He said that he felt frustrated and confused when reading the Psalms. I must admit that I have had dificulties with this book as well. I can understand his confusion. I had trouble because they were kind of "all over the place" with emotions. God showed me that even spiritual "giants" had there rough days. Just like us.

I remember in the dvd course and maybe even the book stating that its confusing because one psalm will be angry and then turn around and be joyful. The instructor pointed one of them out that it has both in one psalm. But I agree with them that Psalms doesnt always answer questions we have, because sometimes there isnt one. But they give comfort because you can relate to them. does any come to mind for you that has given comfort by relating to it?

I think of Psalm thirteen sometimes. David asks "how long will you forget me?" I have asked this same question before. I then find the answer in verse six. We have to trust God because He is the only one with a perfect track record. He has never let me down. I like what Sean said about even things that we did that were not for God can be turned around for His glory.

When me and my wife were dating, she went to a small church in Johnson county. I would just go with her becuase I wanted to see her. I never went for the right reasons. However, God did something to me when I was there. I started to grow a little closer even though I never got rededicated. The pastor told my wife's family that he thought that I would get saved and become a preacher someday. I always thought that he was crazy. It is amazing how God gives people discernment.

I think that we should pray for our enemies for their salvation. I do not pray for something bad to happen, but rather them to change for the better. If they get Christ in their lives, they will start to change and the good things will happen to them. When good things happen to us, it causes us to want to do good for others. It can turn into a neverending cycle.

Please pray for the youth as well as Sean and his wife. They are so important to our church and we love thme dearly. Remember us all for traveling mercies tomorrow. God Bless You.
